To solve the problem, change the frame rate from 60 to 30. Select the Option in the title screen to do so.*You can play the game with keyboard and gamepad.
The gamepad connects to port 1 and 2. At default setting, you can play with keyboard. If you use a gamepad, select the Controller in the Option in the title screen and change the key configuration.
Gods strewed the universe with stars and gave the earth life and reason.
The newborn planet still has the tower which gods had constructed as the pillar of reason during the creation of the world...It is the Guardian who protects the tower.
"Margaret" received heavenly orders to protect the "Tower of the Water Deity" - yes, she is the Guardian.
But she is an easygoing girl. Guardians are usually very strong because they are good at a variety of magic and martial arts.
Margaret, however, is poor at magic so she uses two large-sized pistols that fire magical bullets.
She is full of vitality and has built up her body, but she has learned no martial arts because she has not sticked to anything like that.
This is why she has slacked her duty as the Guardian everyday. Her laziness made the Tower of the Water Deity full of monsters and its water polluted, thus troubling humans.
Gods got very angry to see the situation.
Apollo, a god in charge of the communication between the Guardian and gods, ordered Margaret to reveal the source of the pollution and wipe out monsters. The story of Margaret begins now...
You can play the game with keyboard and gamepad.
When playing with gamepad, you can use port 1 and 2. You can assign functions to the buttons or keys in the Option in the title screen.
Below is the default setting:
Keyboard | Gamepad | |
Confirm | Z | 1 |
Cancel | X | 2 |
Jump | Z | 1 |
Shoot | X | 2 |
Check | C | 3 |
Missiles | S | 4 |
Pause (Retry) |
ESC | Press 5 and 6 together |
*You can change the way to call the pause menu with gamepad by opening the "mgrt_options.ini" file in Notepad and so forth.
For example, if you like to assign pause to the button 9 of gamepad 1, change GPD1_RESET_BTN=5,6 to GPD1_RESET_BTN=9 and save the change. Now only the button 9 will call the pause menu.
When you start the game, you can select the save file you like to use among the four files.
To save, you have to find "save rooms" and go to bed there.
When you sleep, the HP restores to the maximum and you calm down excitement.
You cannot sleep when you get wet, so move around until your clothes get dry or change them.In playing the game, checkpoints are created everytime you move to another area. You can retry and continue the game from the checkpoints.
But, be careful, once you quit it, the game would start from the last save room where you saved the file, NOT FROM THE CHECKPOINTS.When you continue the game, the HP and all the EX-Lives are restored to the maximum, and you have missiles up to 5.
This is much better than when you retry(from pause menu), so we recommend continuing(from gameover) the game rather than retrying it.
Q. Can I use the save file of the trial version in the product version as well?
A. Yes, you can. Copy the savefiles folder to that of the product version.
If you like to inherit the settings you made in the Option of the trial version to the product version, copy the mgrt_options.ini file to the same place where the executable file is located.Q. I can't shoot missiles!
A. You cannot use them at first. To use them, you have to defeat a certain boss enemy.Q. I can't reach certain places without drowning her!
A. When you can't reach there even though the number shown at the upper left of the screen - the ECG - is 50, probably you swim the wrong way or lack the items you need to have.
When the number, which indicates the degree to which she is excited, increases, hold the Check key to calm down.
When she does not calm down well, get dressed first and sleep in save rooms.Q. I tried to shoot diagonally but shot horizontally!
A. Some keyboards do not accept combinations of certain keys.
See the assignment of keys at the "Option" shown in the title screen.
By default, the assignment is Z, X, C, S, but change to A, S, D, W. The keyboards may accept the combinations of these keys.
If the problem is that you cannot shoot diagonally downward, just press [arrow key - down] and shoot - you don't have to press [arrow key left] or [arrow key right] together.
Those who use a gamepad do not have these problems.Q. I'd like to change the way my gamepad calls the pause menu!
A. Once you set up and quit the game, it creates the "mgrt_options.ini" file. In it, you see
GPD1_RESET_BTN=5,6 (in the port 2, this will be GPD2_RESET_BTN=5,6).
You can change the way to call the pause menu by overwriting it. For example, if you change it to GPD1_RESET_BTN=9, only the button 9 of the gamepad connected to the port 1 will call the pause menu.Q. I have no idea what I should do!
A. I offer official FAQs only in Japanese. I hope they will be of help.Q. I don't want to assign arrow key-like functions to the analog nub.
A. The "mgrt_options.ini" file, which is created once you set up and quit the game, contains "DIGITAL_BTN_ONLY=TRUE".
Change it to "DIGITAL_BTN_ONLY=FALSE" and save.
(Note:Please turn on the analog mode switch of the gamepad.)Q. Sometimes characters get blurred!
A. I have found that the problem occurs when you use some graphic boards made by GeForce.
I introduced a temporary solution to the problem.
The "mgrt_options.ini" file, which is created once you set up and quit the game, contains "ANTI_SMOOTH_FILTER=FALSE".
Change it to "ANTI_SMOOTH_FILTER=TRUE" and save.
(Note: Never change so before quitting the game!)
